Ebury Bridge Estate Open Day – A Resounding Success

big-local

The Ebury Bridge Estate Open day was a great success according to the families and workers that attended  the day. The event was  organised by Sheila Martin who works for Pimlico Toy Library who is a resident living on the estate, her aim was to sign up as many Ebury tenants as possible for the new Ebury  Bridge Residents Association she is starting.

This was a true collaboration with funding and support from Pimlico Toy Library, John Lyons’s Charity, Pimlico Million, City West Homes, Play Association and support from Abbey Community Association  – Community Champions and  St Vincent’s Family  Place.  Families were able to get up close and personal with a Crocodile, down and dirty in the garden, share their stories over Afternoon Tea and discuss past and present times on Ebury Estate,  over Happy Hour refreshments.

21 residents signed up for the Residents Association

814 – 18 year olds took part in a questionnaire about their needs

6 1  0- 13 year olds  children took part in activities

12 families gave feedback about  the Pimlico Million Project

Visitors included  City West Homes, Cllr Jason Williams, Cllr Shamim Taluktder and the  National Citizen Service who filmed the African Drumming session.

We still need residents to sign up either as a member or as a committee member. You can contact Sheila Martin on eburybridgeresidentsass(@)gmail.com if you would like to do this or learn more.
